Lib.), after H. also = ' τὰ ὁπωσοῦν μακρὰ ξύλα, δοκοί, ἱστοί'.Origin: PG [a word of Pre-Greek origin]X [probably]Etymology: Perh. prop. as "the uprising" ptc. pres. of *κελέω, denomin. of *κέλος, formally = OCS čelo `forehead' with further connection with κολοφών, κολωνός, s. v. Frisk IF 49, 97f.; but see on these words. - Not with H. κελοί = ξύλα, cf. on κελεός. S. also 1. κέλωρ. - (Not here Celetrum town in western Macedonia (Liv. 31, 40; s. Frisk Symb.
